Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

2/3/2016 3:53 PM This is my great-grandmother Nina Yakovlevna Pichaj. The only information I have about her is that her birthday is 1/20/1907 and some sources say that it is 12/20/1908.She married Andre/Andrey Pavlovich Pichaj. The only living relative in America that I know and that would have any information is very vague about the matter. If anyone anywhere has any information about my family I would love to know! I've been researching for almost 2 years and I have found out nothing. She was either born in Russia or Ukraine. Again, my family is so vague I have no idea. Yakovlevna family, Pichaj family, if you're out there, I'm trying to find you all! You have a relative in America. I'm praying I find you! Again if you have information please email me, Thank you. 2/3/2016 3:53 PM Dear Friends,

I have uploaded a marriage registration of my ancestors Mayer Rothar (Ruta) and Chaya Glejchman who got married in Warsaw in March 1855. I would be very glad and thankful to get a full translation from Polish of the registration.

Thanks and blessings in advance.

2/3/2016 3:51 PM This is from postcard sent from Eastern Europe, possibly Poland, to a relative in London. This is an enlarged copy of the original. If any names or places can be recognised that would really help. Thank you
